Event overview
Valhalla Winter Run 2025 is a six-hour timed, lapped trail event held on an out-and-back course through the grounds of the University of York. Each lap is 2.2 miles on an undulating route. Runners may stop after any lap or continue for the full six hours. All participants receive a bespoke medal, a goody bag, homemade cake, and festive refreshments including mulled wine.

The event location is University of York Sports Centre, YO10 5FG. There is free parking and toilet facilities at the sports centre available before, during, and after the event. This is a cupless event; runners should bring a labelled bottle or cup to place on the start/finish table. Water and squash will be available, and bottles can be filled before, during, or after the event. A stocked aid station will provide sweets, savoury snacks, and fresh fruit.
Entries are limited to 75 places, with entries closing 06/12/2025 and seven places remaining at the time of the listing. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £26.00 and Unattached £28.00. No refunds; transfers and deferrals are allowed only up to seven days prior. Final race information will be emailed the week before and race numbers are collected from Race Registration on the morning of the event.
