Untamed Border Run

Untamed Border Run is a grass-roots running event centered at the Killarney showgrounds in the Southern Darling Downs region. The event offers three off-road distances: 50km, 21km, and 10km, run on tracks, trails and backcountry roads through Untamed Border Run country. The atmosphere emphasizes community and volunteerism: courses are marked with recycled materials, the Show Society canteen serves food, and finisher plaques are supplied by the Killarney Men’s Shed, with volunteers from local clubs running safety and checkpoints. Special features include bus transport for the 50km start, optional shuttles for shorter courses, limited spectator access for the 50km, and a rugged, scenic mountain environment.
