Race formats and course
Distances offered:
- 50K (daytime)
- 50K (nighttime)
- 100K (combined daytime and nighttime)
The 50K races each use the same two-loop course: a 20.5-mile main loop followed by an 11.4-mile lower loop, for a total of approximately 32 miles. The daytime and nighttime 50Ks run the loop in opposite directions - one clockwise and the other counter-clockwise. The 100K option combines both the daytime and nighttime events and is scored by the lowest combined time across both races.
Entries, awards and policies
Participant limits: 100 for the combined 100K, and 50 each for the daytime-only and nighttime-only 50Ks. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each of the three race categories. The refund policy: 50% refunds are available until January 1 of the race year; no full refunds or bib transfers are offered. Single deferments may be granted; certain unforeseen circumstances may allow 100% credit toward a future race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
