TSC Historic Run

The TSC Historic Run takes place at the Texas Southmost College Campus in Brownsville, Texas. This event celebrates the 100-year anniversary of Texas Southmost College and is set against the scenery of historic Fort Brown and the Rio Grande Valley. The competition features a variety of distances for both runners and walkers.

The event consists of three primary race options:

  • Half Marathon: a 13.1 mile distance.
  • 2 Person Relay: each participant covers 6.55 miles of a half marathon distance.
  • 5K Run: a 3.2 mile course.

The courses are USATF Certified, ensuring they are officially measured according to national standards for accuracy. Because of this certification, finish times are eligible for submission to major races that require verified results, such as the Boston Marathon or the Chevron Houston Marathon.

The registration deadline to be guaranteed an event shirt is March 9, 2026, while general registration remains open until March 23, 2026. Participants can collect their race packets on March 26 and March 27 at the Jacob Brown Auditorium Lobby on International Boulevard. On the day of the event, the schedule includes participant check-in, music, and stretching prior to the start of the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
