Triple Lakes Trail Race
Celebrating 20 years, the Triple Lakes Trail Race is held each fall in Greensboro, North Carolina, at Bur Mil Park. The event is centered around Lake Brandt, Lake Townsend, and Lake Jeanette and follows watershed trails through the park.
Distance options include:
- Half Marathon (trail run)
- Marathon individual or relay
- 40 Mile Ultra individual or relay
The course is described as well marked, with aid stations positioned throughout and generous cutoffs. Individual, relay, ruck, and virtual options are offered. Relay team sizes are specified in event details with marathon teams of 2 to 4 runners and 40 mile teams of 2 to 8 runners.
Ruck entries require a weighted ruck sack or weight plate carrier and participants will be weighed prior to the race. Economy registration options are available that omit a race shirt and finisher medal. Virtual options allow the race distance to be completed on the participant's own time and race packets may be available for pick up after race day.
The event forms part of the North Carolina Trail Mega Medal Series and takes place on watershed trails around the three lakes at Bur Mil Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
