Overview

The Traverse City Trail Running Festival takes place May 8-9, 2026 in Northern Michigan. The event uses singletrack and wide doubletrack trails in the Pere Marquette Forest. All races start and finish at Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort. The festival schedule places a two-person 10K relay and a 5K on Friday evening, with individual races and the 100K relay on Saturday.

What is included

Participants receive a unisex event T-shirt and a wooden finisher medal. Post-race refreshments include options for those 21+ (beer from Shorts Brewing) and hop water. Aid stations are described as well stocked, with expanded food and drink options for 50K, 75K, and 100K runners. Finisher food differs by distance: a snack buffet for 5K and 10K, and a buffet plus mac and cheese and vegetarian chili for 25K, 50K, 75K, and 100K. Celebrate the 50th North American Vasa in Traverse City on February 14 and 15, 2026, with classic and skate Nordic ski races plus fat tire bike events on the groomed Vasa Pathway. Highlights include returning two lap 50k and family races.
