XTERRA TRANSCEND Trail Run : Dickerson Mine Preserve, Randolph NJ
XTERRA TRANSCEND is a trail running event at Dickerson Mine Preserve in Randolph, NJ with three distances: a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. The main loop measures 6.8 miles with about 400 feet of elevation gain; the Half Marathon completes two loops. The 5K is 3.1 miles with about 170 feet of elevation gain. The course features fast, flowy singletrack, wooded corridors, and lakeside views, with start, lap, and finish at the Black River Barn (1178 Route 10, West St).
The event is presented as the 6th Annual XTERRA TRANSCEND Trail Fest and is a qualifier for the 2027 XTERRA Trail Run World Championships. A portion of proceeds will be donated to JORBA, the Jersey Off Road Biking Association, to support trail volunteers and maintenance.
All registered runners receive access to RideWithGPS for on-course navigation and audio cues. Race organizers list required gear including a charged cell phone, the navigation app or GPX file, hydration, at least 200 calories of nutrition, and a whistle.
Finishers will receive a limited edition XTERRA Transcend coffee mug subject to availability. Awards are organized by age group: the Half Marathon uses five-year age groups from 19 and under through 70 plus; the 10K uses ten-year age groups; the 5K awards overall top three men and women. The event runs in all conditions and has a no-refund policy. Main parking is at Black River Barn, with extended parking at Education Station for Half Marathon runners.
