Trails To the Sky 50k/10k at Voorhees State Park

The event offers trail races in Glen Gardner, New Jersey at Voorhees State Park. Distances include:

• 10k
• 50k (five laps)

The trails are described as runnable and pass the park observatory that houses one of the largest private telescopes in New Jersey. The 10k accumulates about 900 ft of elevation gain and the 50k accumulates roughly 4,500 ft. The 50k is a UTMB Index race.

The course will be marked with yellow arrow signs and small orange lawn flags at turns. Porta potties are located just off the course after the lap for 50k runners. Aid stations are placed at mile 3 and at the start/finish area each loop and will offer Skratch Electrolytes, Skratch Chews, water, soda, fruit, and a variety of snacks.

Parking is at the group reservation area with driving around the park; extra parking spots are shown on the course map and may require leaving and reentering the park. There is an athlete set up area near the finish for 50k runners to access belongings between laps. Tent space is available first come first serve and some shared tents will be provided.

Online registration is open until Fri, May 15 at 11:59 PM ET. Race day registration is available via cash, Venmo, or Zelle; listed entry fees are $90 for the 50k and $55 for the 10k. Timing is via the Ultrasignup app and bibs must be visible for lap and finish recording. All finishers receive a custom medal and the top three male and female runners receive custom awards. Trails are currently dry with some wet spots and there is potential for mud; extra socks, shoes, and dry clothing are recommended. Squirrel Nut Butter samples will be available at check in.
