Trails To the Sky 50k/10k : Voorhees State Park, Glen Gardner NJ

Trails To the Sky is a trail running event on May 16, 2026, held at Voorhees State Park in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The event offers two distances:

  • 50k
  • 10k

The 10k course accumulates about 900 feet of elevation gain. The 50k accumulates roughly 4,500 feet of gain and consists of five laps. The route passes by the park observatory that houses a large private telescope. The 50k is a UTMB index race.

Course markings include yellow arrow signs at turns and small orange lawn flags. Aid stations are located at about mile 3 and at the start/finish area for each lap. Aid station supplies include Skratch electrolytes and chews, water, soda, fruit, and a variety of snacks. Porta potties are positioned just off the course after the lap return.

An athlete set-up area near the finish allows 50k runners to access belongings between laps. There is limited space for ez-up tents on a first come, first served basis and additional tents for storing minimal items. Parking is arranged via the park group reservation; extra parking spots are identified on the course map and may require exiting and reentering the park. Organizers encourage carpooling.

Online registration is open until Friday, May 15 at 11:59 PM ET. Race day registration is offered with payment by cash, Venmo, or Zelle. Entry fees listed are $90 for the 50k and $55 for the 10k. Timing uses the Ultrasignup app and requires visible bibs for lap and finish recording. All finishers receive a custom medal and the top three male and female runners receive awards.
