Trails and Tails - Coopernook is a trail running event at Coopernook Forest HQ in Coopernook State Forest. The event offers four course distances with age rules for each distance and medals for finishers.

Available distances:

• 21.1 km open to ages 18 and over
• 14 km open to ages 16 and over
• 7 km open to ages 14 and over; under 14 require adult supervision
• 4 km for ages 4 to 13; under 14 require adult supervision

Entry windows and fees are set by three periods: Early Bird (1 September to 31 January), Standard (1 February to 20 August), and Late/Check-In entries (20 August to 23 August). A 50 percent refund option closes on 1 May 2026; no monetary refunds are issued after that date.

Race administration notes: All competitors must have mandatory gear checked at race check-in before receiving a bib; online gear checks are not accepted. Late entry check-in is available in the days before the event and on race morning. Solo runners may run with or without a dog; groups may run with dogs or without. Personal bags may be left at the race hub tent but are the entrant's responsibility to collect. Caravans and campervans are welcome; the Coopernook HQ is unpowered and has no dump station.
