The Toonerville Trail Turkey Trot is a 5K running event in Springfield, VT on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The race starts and finishes at the Toonerville Trail trailhead at 280 Clinton St. The course is a mostly flat out-and-back route along the Black River.

Logistics and extras

Proceeds benefit the Springfield Food Bank, Weathersfield Food Shelf, and Springfield High School Cross Country. A food drive will collect canned and non-perishable items; each donated item earns one drawing ticket for a compostable wreath made by the Weathersfield Garden Club. Online registration is $25 through November 25; in-person and packet pick-up registration is $30. A virtual entry option is available for donations.

Post-run provisions include water, an electrolyte drink, and light snacks; finishers receive a pair of Turkey Trot socks. Prizes include overall and age-group awards for the 5K, a best costume award, and other event prizes. Parking is available at the trailhead parking lot, located between Image Tek Labels and United Construction & Forestry. There are no refunds or transfers.
