Event

The Tissington Trail January Half Marathon & 10k Weekend is held on the Tissington Trail, the former railway line between Ashbourne and Buxton in Derbyshire. The traffic-free trail runs through the Derbyshire Dales and offers open views over the surrounding hills. The course is multi-terrain with a gentle uphill gradient on the outward leg and a slight downhill on the return. The event takes place over two days; entrants may choose to run on one or both days. Entries often sell out in advance.

Route maps and GPX files are available for download. Race HQ is at Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Clifton Road, DE6 1DR, about a 10-minute walk from the start on Mappleton Road, Ashbourne DE6 2AA. On-the-day entry fees (subject to availability) are listed as: Half Marathon £45 and 10k £35. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners.
