Thunderbird Warrior Challenge

The Thunderbird Warrior Challenge is a trail running event held at Mt. Ashwabay Outdoor Recreation Area in Bayfield, Wisconsin. It features multiple race distances: 50K, 25K, 10K trail runs, and a 5K fun run with obstacles.

The course offers a mix of flowy, rolling trails and technical singletrack through scenic northwoods, including old growth maple and hemlock forests, panoramic views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, and historic sites like the Nourse Sugarbush. The looped course combines singletrack and cross-country ski trails. The event includes family-friendly activities, entertainment, and camping, with proceeds benefiting Camp Benesi and Mt.
