Thunderbird Warrior Challenge

Thunderbird Warrior Challenge is a fundraising trail race at Mt. Ashwabay Outdoor Recreation Area in Bayfield, Wisconsin, a collaboration between Camp Benesi and Mt. Ashwabay.

Runners may choose from four distances: 50K, 25K, 10K, or a 5K obstacle-filled fun run. The looped course blends flowy rolling trails with technical singletrack through northwoods old-growth maple stands, offering panoramic views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. Starting near the Big Top Chautauqua Tent, racers climb Mt.

Ashwabay and traverse glacial terrain with a fast, flowy singletrack section, with pink lady slipper orchids blooming along the way and a pass by the historic sugar shack.
