Event and course

The Tufty Trail Race is organised by Falkland Trail Runners and takes place on 23 November 2025 in Falkland Estate, Fife. The route is approximately 5 miles, run on trails and paths around the estate. The course starts adjacent to Strathmiglo Village Hall, climbs toward the Lomonds, includes a loop on forest trails in Drumdreel woods, and returns downhill toward the start. All finishers receive a race memento.

Logistics, entry and rules

Race headquarters is at Strathmiglo Village Hall, where number pick-up, toilets, bag storage and limited changing facilities are provided; refreshments are available in the hall after the race. Parking is limited at the village hall car park; participants parking in surrounding streets are asked to consider local residents. Entry was by pre-entry only; the event shows a total of 135 places and entries are closed. The entry fee was £12.00. There are no refunds or deferrals; number transfers are permitted up to seven days before the race. Awards are given to the first three overall male and female finishers and to first male and female in these age categories: Under 20, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The event is permitted and insured by the Association of Running Clubs and is held under ARC rules. Organisers note the route or date may be altered or rescheduled due to weather or forestry work. Trail runs nearby

A 4-mile trail run through the scenic woodlands of Cambo Estate in Fife. The mostly flat, two-lap course finishes in the beautiful walled garden. All finishers receive a medal.

A hill running event in Birnam, Dunkeld on 28 March 2026 with a senior 6.6 km course (360 m climb) and junior races of about 1.5 km and 3 km. The race uses ProTay timing and is part of the Highland Boundary Series.

Deuchary Hill Canter on 29 March 2026 is an 18 km hill race at Polney Loch, Dunkeld, with 800 m of ascent. Entry fee is £15, minimum age 20, and competitors must carry safety kit; it is part of the Highland Boundary Series.
