The Tufty Trail Race
The Tufty Trail Race is scheduled for 8 November 2026 and is organised by Falkland Trail Runners. The course is approximately 5 miles and will be run on trails and paths within Falkland Estate.
The route starts adjacent to Strathmiglo Village Hall, climbs toward the Lomonds, includes a loop on forest trails in Drumdreel woods and returns via a fast downhill back toward the start. Race headquarters at Strathmiglo Village Hall provide number pick-up, toilets, bag storage and limited changing facilities; the hall also provides post-race refreshments. The postcode for the village hall is KY14 7QL. Parking is limited to a small car park outside the hall and street parking should take local residents into consideration.
All finishers receive a race memento. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers, plus first male and female in these age categories: Under 20, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. Entry is pre-entry only, non-refundable and non-deferrable; number transfers are permitted up to seven days before the race. The event is insured and held under the Association of Running Clubs rules. The entry fee is £14 and includes the memento, post-race refreshments and a donation to Falkland Estate.
