Course, services and rules
The primary loop is 3 miles on a mix of mowed pasture and dirt road with rolling hills and uneven terrain. There is an optional 4.3-mile dirt road loop available during two one-hour windows every six hours; that option can be started anytime within the window and need not be finished within the same hour. One staffed aid station at the start/finish will supply electrolyte/carb drink and typical race food. Free camping and porta-potties are available at the start/finish; a private portable shower will be provided and public shower houses and additional camping are available about 10 minutes away at Prairie Dog State Park.
Rules include no refunds, no bib transfers, a strict one vehicle per runner limit, mandatory check-in with race staff before leaving and after returning, and requirement to record each completed lap at the start/finish. Pacers are not allowed for the 6, 12, and 24-hour races and are permitted only after 24 hours. Runners must be 18 unless a guardian is present for the entire duration; the legal drinking age is 21. All finishers receive event apparel and distance-specific belt buckles are awarded for ultra-distance milestones. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
