The Scammonden (50 Miles)

The SCAMMONDEN (50 miles) is a circular ultra race organized by Heights Ultra Trail, starting and finishing at Colne Valley High School in Linthwaite, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The 50‑mile loop blends wonderful trails, open moorland and dramatic upland vistas as participants pass through a series of checkpoints to complete the circuit. The course is mostly waymarked, with some open moor sections where map or GPS navigation is helpful.

It is inclusive and open to all, including LDWA entrants. Highlights include three well‑stocked feed stations, additional water stops, live GPS timing, and dedicated marshals plus rescue support.
