The Ruff in Carson, WA, is a 7-mile trail race starting and finishing at the Dog Mountain Trailhead in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The course runs entirely on single-track trails: a 3-mile ascent with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain to the summit, followed by a 4-mile downhill on Augspurger Trail. Runners enjoy views of the Columbia River, Mount Hood, and Mount St.
