The Rattlesnake Ramble takes place in March 2026 at China Camp State Park, Miwok Meadows Staging Area in Santa Venetia, CA. The event runs with both live and virtual participation options across multiple distances. Entry fees vary by event and include processing fees; some prices increase on set dates and live registration closes the day before the main event.
Distances:
- 5K - trail distance with some technical terrain and minimal ascent/descent.
- 10K - includes technical terrain, single-track sections, and nearly 1,000 feet of ascent/descent.
- Half Marathon - trail course with technical terrain and nearly 1,700 feet of ascent/descent.
Course details and policies
Organizers note the half marathon is a substantial trail challenge and do not recommend it for runners who have not previously completed the distance or who do not currently run on trails. In the event of race cancellation for wildfires, hazardous air quality, severe weather, natural disaster, pandemic, or other force majeure, the race does not offer refunds, transfers, or credits. If a cancellation occurs, race swag will be shipped to participants and directions will be provided for navigating the course independently and submitting results. The race also does not support refunds, transfers, or credits for personal reasons such as injury, schedule changes, or work conflicts.
