The Rattlesnake Ramble
The Rattlesnake Ramble is a spring trail event at China Camp State Park in Santa Venetia, California, held on March 14, 2027. The event offers both live and virtual participation options and three distance choices.
The distances offered are:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Course notes: the 5K is a trail route with some technical terrain and minimal ascent and descent. The 10K includes technical terrain, single track sections, and nearly 1,000 feet of total ascent and descent. The half marathon also includes technical terrain and single track sections and has nearly 1,700 feet of ascent and descent. The organizers describe the half marathon as a stout challenge and do not recommend it for participants who have not previously covered the distance or who are not currently doing trail running.
Refunds, transfers, and race credits are not supported. If the race is cancelled for reasons such as wildfires, hazardous air quality, hazardous weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events, the organizers will ship participant swag and provide directions for navigating the course independently and submitting results. The same no refund policy applies for injuries or schedule conflicts that arise before race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
