The Owyhee Off-Road Challenge takes place in the High Desert of Eastern Oregon, starting from Two Rivers Community Park in Adrian. This event features a series of trail runs that utilize the rugged terrain of the Owyhee Mountains and the surrounding area. Participants travel through high-desert landscapes characterized by wide-open spaces, canyons, and river views.

The event offers several distinct distances over varied terrain:

• 55k Ultra: A loop course through the Owyhee Mountains and canyons.
• Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): A loop course involving elevation gains in the local hills.
• 10k Run: Includes a one-mile paved section followed by an 890-foot climb.
• 5k Run: An out-and-back course on Emerald Slope Road and canal paths.

The courses provide views of the Owyhee River Valley, the Snake River Valley, and the agricultural farmlands of the Treasure Valley. While the 5k and 10k routes specifically include segments near the local "A" Hill and Emerald Slope Road, the longer distances focus on remote sections of the mountain range.

Proceeds from the event are used to support the Adrian School District track and local youth programs. The races involve technical terrain and natural elevation shifts characteristic of a high-desert environment.
