The Mt. Baldy 5000 is a challenging 5K mountain race held on the slopes of Mt. Baldy Resort near Los Angeles.

The 3.1-mile course features nearly all uphill terrain with about 1,500 feet of elevation gain, primarily on fire roads with good footing. Starting at 6,400 feet elevation, runners climb steeply via the Manker Trail to the Notch, then continue to the Mt. Baldy reservoir before a downhill finish.

Designed for all ability levels, the race offers stunning mountain views and a vibrant atmosphere. After the race, participants enjoy a festive afterparty at the Top of the Notch with BBQ, live music, drinks, and a scenic chairlift ride back to the start.
