About the race
The Dalton Canyon Ultra is a set of trail races held on February 6, 2027, in and around Big Dalton Campground in Glendora, California. The event uses dirt trails and sections of paved road on routes that loop through Glendora Mountain Road, Mystic Canyon, Big Dalton Canyon, and the Keiser Trail system.
Distances offered:
- 50K solo
- 50K 4 person relay
- 10K solo
The full 50K route begins at Big Dalton Campground, follows the canyon to the Dalton Fire Station, climbs Colby Garcia Trail to Glendora Mountain Road, and continues through Glendora Mountain Peak and GMR aid points before returning via Truck Trail, Mystic Canyon, Keiser Trail, Wren Meacham Trail, the Equestrian Area, and back to Big Dalton Campground.
The 50K relay uses the same course divided into four legs: start to mile 7, mile 7 to mile 14.5, mile 14.5 to mile 21, and mile 21.5 to the finish. There are five aid stations located roughly at miles 7, 11, 14.5, 21.5, and 26. Aid stations provide water, electrolytes, and snacks; aid stations 2 and 3 are water only. Drop bags must be handed in the day before the race with the runner name and chosen aid station.
All runners must carry a refillable water bottle or hydration vest and are encouraged to bring personal nutrition. A time cap of 1600 applies to all events.
