Mount Wilson Trail Race 2027
The Mount Wilson Trail Race is scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2027. Online registration runs from February 15, 2027 through May 7, 2027 and is limited to 350 runners. Entrants must be at least 14 years old. Runners who register within the online registration window receive a specially designed race T-shirt and a goodie bag.
Registration fees are stated by age group: adults age 18 and above pay $83.00 and youth ages 14 to 17 pay $46.00. The event offers a no charge training program that begins on Saturday, February 6, 2027 in Sierra Madre’s Kersting Court; the program runs for 16 weeks and posts a detailed weekly schedule on the training page.
Trail repair and maintenance for the Mount Wilson Trail and Bailey Canyon Trail are carried out by an all volunteer Trail Maintenance Crew. Repairs following the Eaton Fire enabled the trail to reopen and the race to return after a hiatus. The Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund pays for equipment, materials, supplies, and tools used by the volunteer crew. Donations to the Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund are tax-deductible and donors receive an acknowledgment letter. Neither the City of Sierra Madre nor the U.S. Forest Service provides funds for volunteer labor or supplies, so community donations support ongoing trail repair and preservation.
