The Limberlost Challenge is a trail running event held at The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve, 1002 Buck Lake Landing Road, Huntsville. The listed event date is Saturday July 4, 2026.

The course runs through forest trails and areas near lakes. It includes technical sections requiring nimble footwork as well as stretches that allow faster running, and a variety of other terrain. The reserve is privately owned and has undergone restoration of historic wilderness trails.

Runners in the 7, 14, 28, 42 and 56 km races are offered the following at no charge: lunch served by Mingles (selection to be confirmed by June 24), morning coffee from Threshold, Custom Outway socks by Custom Lab (order by May 31 to guarantee sizes), professional photography, and a handcrafted participant medal. The event materials indicate a well marked course and the presence of volunteers. The race states it supports efforts to empower youth and lists charity partners including trails.ca.
