The Legacy Trail Ultra : Sarasota, FL

The event is a 60K ultramarathon held on the Legacy Trail in Sarasota. The course is out-and-back, starting at Payne Park and running south 18.6 miles before turning around and returning to the start. The race is free to enter and is sponsored by the Manasota Track Club. There will be no road closings and aid stations will be limited. Runners are given a 10-hour time limit to complete the distance.

Logistics and additional details

Packet pickup is scheduled for November 22 from 3 to 5 pm at Fleet Feet Sarasota, 711 S Osprey Ave #1, Sarasota, FL 34236. Registration closes on November 19. This year the overpass bridges at Bee Ridge and Clark will be complete, removing waits at the traffic lights at those intersections. A relay option is available for a limited number of teams; relay teams will receive bibs but there will be no finisher awards for first place and the finish-line setup may be timed for the first solo ultra runner. Sponsors named for the event include Fleet Feet/New Balance, Real Bikes Venice, and Durtiming. A community 5K at Robinson Preserve in Bradenton on June 13, 2026, with a $35 registration fee. Participants receive a t-shirt, snacks and hotdogs, and awards are given to the top three men and women in each age group.
