The Fellsman (25–26 April 2026)

The Fellsman is a point-to-point traverse across Yorkshire Dales fells and moorland from Ingleton to Threshfield. The route covers more than 60 miles and climbs over 11,000 feet, and is serviced by 25 hilltop and roadside checkpoints. Entrants’ navigational skills are required; map and compass must be carried and GPX files on GPS devices are acceptable if a map and compass are also carried and usable.

The event is organised by Keighley Scout Service Network and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Minimum age is 18. The published entry fee is £100 and includes hot food and refreshments at checkpoints, transport from checkpoints to the finish in the event of retirement, accommodation at the start and finish, car parking at the finish, a hot meal on return, live tracking hire, a PDF handbook, the event tally, a commemorative item, and a donation to the Friends of the Three Peaks Campaign. A kit list, live tracking and cut-offs are in place for safety.

The Fellsman Dart (25–26 April 2026)

The Fellsman Dart is a shorter point-to-point route across the Yorkshire Dales from Redshaw to Threshfield. The route is over 30 miles (about 48+ km), climbs more than 4,200 feet, and is serviced by 13 hilltop and roadside checkpoints. Navigation with map and compass is required; GPX use is allowed if a map and compass are also carried.

The Dart is organised by Keighley Scout Service Network and staffed by volunteers. Maximum entry is 100 places and minimum age is 18. The published entry fee is £65 and includes hot food and refreshments, transport related to the event, accommodation at start and finish, car parking at the finish, a hot meal on return, live tracking hire, a PDF handbook, the event tally, a commemorative item, and a donation to the Friends of the Three Peaks Campaign. Allithwaite 8 on 1 November 2025 is an 8 mile 13 km trail and fell race on the edge of the Lake District and Cartmel peninsula, promising scenic, varied terrain and a true off road feel. Entries are currently full with a waiting list.

Run Bolton Abbey on 9 November 2025 offers scenic, hilly trail routes through the estate with distances from a family 2.4 mile fun run to a challenging half marathon. Entries are limited and proceeds support Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Challenge yourself at the Litton Birks Fell Race in North Yorkshire on 15 November 2025, a tough 5 km senior course with about 362 m ascent on a new 2024 route. Junior races run from U9 to U17 and race HQ is the Queens Arms pub.

Tackle the classic Tour of Pendle, a late season fell race across Pendle Hill and moorland offering 27 km and big climbs for experienced, navigationally confident runners. Scenic but stern, it demands full kit and map skills.

Take on the new Litton Birks fell race in the York Dales, a punchy 5 km with 362 m of climb and rewarding upland views. Pre entry and day entries available and junior races make this a great event for families and club runners.

Run the Arnside Knott Race on Sunday 16 November 2025: a scenic 6 mile fell run above Morecambe Bay and the Kent Estuary with about 1093 ft of ascent. Expect varied underfoot terrain and crisp autumn conditions for a true challenge.
