About the race
The Bello Gallico is a Legends Trails trail event held in and around the Brabantse Wouden National Park with race headquarters at the Roosenberg in Oud Heverlee (Maurits Noëstraat 15, 3050 Oud Heverlee). The event offers organized trail races and walks with defined loop formats that run through forested terrain.
Distances:
- 200 km run two loops of 100 km each, run in opposite directions
- 100 km run one loop of 100 km
- 160 km walk two loops of 80 km each, walk version
- 80 km walk one loop of 80 km
Entry fees and capacities are published for each distance and registration is time limited. Fees listed in the information include €165 for the 200 km run, €90 for the 100 km run, €125 for the 160 km walk and €70 for the 80 km walk. Places are allocated first come first served with defined capacity limits and transfer and cancellation rules, including a 50% refund window for cancellations and transfer deadlines before the event.
Support and logistics include well stocked checkpoints approximately 20 km apart, volunteers, medical teams, showers at a nearby facility, pre‑race dinner and post‑race BBQ, and a GPS tracker provided by the organization. The tracker includes an SOS function for extraction and must be returned after the race or a fee applies. Mandatory kit and equipment checks are enforced and drop bag rules and permitted sleeping rules at specific checkpoints are specified in the event information.
