About the race
The Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® is a trail running event held in Puerto de La Cruz, Tenerife, from 8 to 10 April 2027. It is part of the UTMB® World Series and stages races across the island, from sea level up to Teide at 3,555 metres above sea level.
Routes cross a variety of landscapes, including volcanic terrain inside Teide National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), pine forests, ancient laurel forests, coastal paths and mountain trails. The 2027 edition introduces route changes and new formats while keeping established distances.
The programme for 2027 includes the following races and elevation gains:
- 110 km, 6250 m+ elevation
- 68 km, 3600 m+ elevation
- 82 km, 3300 m+ elevation
- 47 km, 2600 m+ elevation
- 24 km, 1300 m+ elevation
- 47 km relay, 2600 m+ elevation
- Vertical Night Challenge, 6.5 km, 850 m+ elevation
The 68 km is presented as a new race and the previous 73 km has been revised into an 82 km course. The Vertical Night Challenge was modified with extra kilometres and, for the first time, a start line on the beach. The event includes adapted categories for athletes with disabilities. Some races are listed as full while others show registrations open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
