TARC Winter Classic : Middlesex Fells Reservation
The TARC Winter Classic is a trail running event held in Stoneham, Massachusetts at the Middlesex Fells Reservation. The course uses loops of the white blazed Skyline Trail and features technical New England terrain with roots, rocks, and frequent climbs and descents. Runners may also see views of the Boston skyline from parts of the trail.

The Skyline Trail is marked with white blazes and there are minimal additional markings on race day. Participants are advised to review course maps and the GPX file beforehand and to load the GPX on a GPS device if desired. If a runner goes off course they must backtrack to the marked route; GPS files may be reviewed and failure to follow the marked course can affect official finish status.
Aid and logistics: there is one aid station at the loop start and one roughly halfway around the loop. This is a cupless event so participants must bring their own hydration system. Portable restrooms and menstrual products will be available at both aid stations.
Other notes: parking is provided at Hall Memorial Pool & Splash Pad on 4 N Border Road, about a half mile walk from the start area, with overflow parking on Fallon Road. The event has limited capacity, sells out, and does not permit refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Volunteer opportunities and trail support are part of the event.
