TARC Winter Classic

Stoneham, United States • 6 Dec 2025

The TARC Winter Classic is a trail-running event staged at Middlesex Fells Reservation in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Runners choose among 8, 32, or 40 miles on the Skyline Trail, a challenging route of roots, rocks, and elevation with classic New England forest scenery and occasional views of the Boston skyline. The course is largely unmarked, marked only with white blazes, so participants should study maps and load GPX files.

Start/finish is at Fallon Road, with nearby parking about a half-mile away. Aid stations are cupless and located at the start/finish and halfway through the 8-mile loop. Proceeds support land conservation; there are no refunds, and the event tends to sell out.

Headlamps may be required for the final loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
