Tacos N' Beer 5K - Los Angeles
The event is a 5k (3.1 miles) held at Whittier Narrows Park near 751 Santa Anita Ave., South El Monte, CA. The weekend format includes packet pickup on Friday, May 1, 2027, and the race day on Saturday, May 2, 2027. A two hour time limit applies on race day.
The course loops throughout Whittier Narrows Park and passes Legg Lake, Center Lake, and North Lake. The route is mostly on trails with a short section of asphalt walkway. There are water stations and course entertainment, including live mariachi and other music at the post race festival.
Participants receive two tacos and one beer for guests aged 21 and over, a crafted medal, a t-shirt, and optional chip timing. Race bibs include three white square labels for T-shirt, Beer, and Tacos; staff will mark off each item as it is received. Top three male and top three female awards are given to runners wearing chip timing bibs.
Packet pickup details: Friday pickup is scheduled 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Whittier Narrows Park. Race day pickup is available at the venue with a $5 cash fee for those who did not pick up on Friday.
