Tacos N' Beer 5K - Los Angeles
The event is a 5k (3.1 miles) held at Whittier Narrows Park, with the course looping around Legg Lake, Center Lake, and North Lake. The route is mostly on trail with a short section of asphalt. A two-hour time limit applies.
The event includes on-course entertainment and live music such as mariachi and banda performances, water stations, and a post-race festival. Finishers receive a crafted medal and a t-shirt. The participant package also includes two free tacos and one free beer for attendees aged 21 and over. Chip timing is offered as an option; top three male and top three female awards are given to runners wearing chip timing bibs.
Packet pick-up is available on the Friday before the event and again on race day; there is a $5 cash fee for packet pick-up on race day if the packet was not collected on Friday. Race bibs include three white square labels for T-shirt, beer, and tacos; staff will mark off items as they are distributed.
Parking is available at Whittier Narrows Park with an admission fee of $10 per car. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; bib numbers may not be transferred to another individual. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
