Format, rules and logistics

Each loop is run every hour; runners must complete the loop within the hour to continue. If a runner fails to finish a loop in time, fails to start the next loop, or withdraws, they are out. The race continues until only one runner completes a loop that no other runner can match.

Mandatory items include an allocated race number, a head torch with sufficient batteries, a charged mobile phone (not required to be carried while running), and a reusable cup or flask (the event is cupless). The course will be marked the day before. Support crews may assist only after a runner completes a loop; pacers are not permitted.
