Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Summer Edition
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition takes place at Lake Parramatta Reserve on Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December 2026. The event uses a single-lap 21 KM course that starts and finishes at Lake Parramatta and includes a total ascent of +386 m and descent of -386 m.
The route combines waterfront trails, technical single-track sections and fire trails. Features on course include a waterfall, lakeside views and eucalypt canopy. The course has clear markings and a strict 4 hour cutoff time. Aid stations are located at about 9.5 km and 14.5 km, with an additional station at the finish; Näak Ultra Energy Drink Mix is provided on course along with fruit, lollies and water.
Runners are required to carry mandatory gear at all times: one fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM, a compression bandage and a minimum water carrying capacity of 500 ml. The event is cupless so athletes must bring their own cup, bottle or hydration gear. Road crossings are marshalled where the course accesses adjacent reserves.
Support details include a premium running singlet, race photos, a finishers medal and a commemorative bucket hat. Post-race provisions include a BBQ, a nearby cafe with hot coffee and access to a swimming area. Race capacity is limited to 500 runners per day. Parking is available outside the lake and on surrounding streets; no parking is allowed inside the lake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
