Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition is a single-lap trail race held at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney on Saturday 5 December 2026 and Sunday 6 December 2026. The event covers a distance of 21 KM with total elevation gain and loss of approximately +386 m and -386 m.
The course combines waterfront trails, technical single track and wider fire trail sections. Runners will pass a waterfall, lakeside viewpoints and areas of eucalypt canopy. The route includes multiple road crossings to access Hunts Creek Reserve; marshals will be stationed at these points.
The event is cupless. Every participant must carry mandatory gear at all times, including a fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM card, a compression bandage and water carrying capacity of 500 ml. There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon. Aid stations are located at about 9.5 km and 14.5 km, with an additional station at the finish area; supplies include water, energy drink mix, fruit and snacks.
Race services include a premium running singlet, finishers medal and free race photos. Parking is available outside the lake and on surrounding streets; no parking is permitted inside the lake. Bib collection is available during race week and on race morning and bibs are not posted. The field is limited to 500 runners per day.
Post race arrangements include a commemorative medal and bucket hat for finishers, a post race BBQ and access to a cafe and a swimming area near the finish.
