Trailrunning & Hiking Festival in Flims Laax
The Swissalpine is a multi-day sports event held in the Flims Laax region, set against the backdrop of the Rhine Gorge and the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site Sardona. The event offers various routes for trail running and hiking, featuring landscapes such as the turquoise Caumasee, the Martinsloch, and the Tschingelhörner. Most routes start and finish at Flims Prau la Selva.
Participants can choose from a wide range of distances and categories:
- K78: A trail of 78.2 km with an elevation change of +/- 4,624 m.
- K78 Four: A team category for the 78.2 km distance, consisting of teams of four (two women and two men).
- K42: A distance of 42.1 km with an elevation gain of +/- 2,609 m, passing through Naraus and Cassons.
- K23 / H23: A 23.2 km route with +/- 923 m elevation, available for both runners and hikers.
- K12 / H12: A 12.5 km route with +/- 421 m elevation, available for both runners and hikers.
- Kids Run: A 1 km circuit with +/- 11 m elevation for children.
The event village is centrally located at Prau la Selva in Flims. The course network includes forest roads, alpine trails, and sections through the "Swiss Grand Canyon" (Ruinaulta). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
