Summit Series Run at Mt. La Crosse
Summit Series Run at Mt. La Crosse is a set of hill running challenges held at Mt. La Crosse Ski and Snowboard in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The event combines short and longer slope routes with additional challenges and a concurrent patio event with vendors and live music.
Event formats include a Sprint that runs up Damnation and back down Salvation, described as a steep and twisty route. The Long Run starts at the Chalet and routes around the slopes; it is listed as a 2 mile course with about 1000 feet of vertical gain. The Huge Gains Challenge covers both the Sprint and the Long Run as a combined entry. A new Motus Misogi ruck challenge sends participants on a loop around the slopes with optional added weight; participants may bring their own weight or borrow onsite. A Kids Race is offered for people under 18 and carries no entry fee.
Entry fees vary by event and are stated for each format. Onsite vendors include the Mt. La Crosse Pro Shop, logo wear and event T-shirts, a grill and a mobile bar. Live music is part of the patio activities. The venue notes that dogs are not permitted on site. Organizers also list opportunities for volunteers to assist before, during and after the event.
