Nelson's Summit 50/50 : Salamanca, NY

Nelson's Summit 50/50 is a trail running event held in the Red House area of Allegany State Park near Salamanca, NY and organized by Salt City Trail Racing. The event offers three distances and uses a looped course that is roughly 16 miles per loop; the course surface includes groomed trail, single track, and rolling hills. The race begins and ends at the Art Roscoe warming hut and the route is marked with flags and signs.

Runners are supported by a group of trail and ultra runners, volunteers, friends, family, and two well-stocked aid stations. Aid station offerings may include ice if needed, water, Skratch, orange slices, bananas, pickles, PB&Js, potato chips, pretzels, Oreos, candy, and a limited selection of hot foods for 50 mile runners after mile 34. The event is USATF sanctioned and insured, Trail Sisters approved, and listed as a UTMB Index race.

All entrants receive a pair of SCTR socks. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in each gender division. Refunds are not granted; deferrals are available for pregnancy injury or volunteering if slots remain. Distance changes are permitted until online registration closes.
