Stumptown Trail Runs is a two-distance trail running event in Forest Park, Portland, held over Memorial Day weekend, May 23–25, 2026. Forest Park covers about 5,100 acres and has more than 80 miles of trails. The 50K route includes the Wildwood Trail and other trails deeper in the park. The event lists the 50K as the only 50K held in Portland.

The 50K course has almost 4,000 ft of elevation gain. The half marathon route includes about 1,800 ft of gain and loss. These are running events, not walking races.

Logistics and rules

Registration opens November 1, 2025; registration closes May 15. Capacity is 200 runners for each distance. There are no race transfers and no refunds; cancellations more than 30 days before the race receive a 50% credit toward a future Go Beyond Racing event (credit must be used within 365 days). Cancellations within 30 days receive no credit.

Parking is on neighborhood streets near the start; carpooling or transit is recommended. There is no parking for spectators at aid stations. After the race finishers receive a Stumptown pint glass. Half marathon finishers are offered grilled cheese and soup; 50K finishers are offered burgers. Awards are given to the top three in male, female, and non-binary categories and to age group placings. Trail runs nearby

Run scenic, muddy trails at Hagg Mud 50K or 25K around Henry Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park, Oregon. Both races include a group start, aid stations, finisher socks and a lively post race celebration.

Run through blooming tulip fields at the Wooden Shoe TulipFest Run in Woodburn, Oregon. Choose a 5K, 10K trail run or a half marathon, with festival admission included and scenic, sometimes muddy farm routes.

Firelane Trail Trial is a time trial out and back on Firelane 1 in Forest Park featuring a steep climb and technical trail sections. Field capped at 144 with a post race gathering at Great Notion Brewing.

Wood You Rather at Mt Tabor Park is a checkpoint run with a map of ten controls where you choose your own route to collect as many as you can before the cutoff. Expect 5 to 11 miles, 1200 to 1600 feet of climbing and a mug at the finish.
