Southside Scramble : Atlanta trail race

The Southside Scramble is an intown trail race held at Southside Park in Atlanta on Oct. 3, 2026. The event uses a measured 10 miles course through pine- and hardwood-shaded forest. The race route includes singletrack, gravel stream crossings, powerline climbs, rock hazards, marsh sections, and sections described as roller coaster descents. All proceeds benefit the trail building and stewardship organization MTB Atlanta. Registration opens June 1, 2026.

Course, services, and categories

The course starts from the north end of the parking lot and follows a counter-clockwise routing that uses Evergreen Trail, Connector trails, the Hickory and Oak Trail loops, powerline sections including Hot Dog Hill, and a marsh trail before returning to the parking area for a 10-mile finish. Aid will be provided approximately every 3-4 miles at two stations (roughly miles 2.5, 4.5, 6, and 8.2); both stations will offer water and electrolytes and the mile 6 station will include some food. Southside Park has on-site parking. Dogs are not allowed on the race course but may spectate off-course. Volunteer roles are listed for aid stations, registration, parking, course marshals, and logistics. Awards are given 1st–3rd overall male/female/non-binary, 1st–3rd Masters male/female, three deep by age group (19 and under; 20–34; 35–49; 50–64; 65+), and DFL.
