The Soil Mates Trail Race takes place on February 28, 2026, in Thomaston, GA (1037 Trice Cemetery Rd, 30286). This is the first annual running event and it offers three distance options:

- 15k
- 50k
Entry fees listed in the source are $40 for the 5k, $70 for the 15k, and $85 for the 50k. Fees increase after February 7, 2026. All three distances start together. Runners must finish within a 9-hour cut-off for results to count.
Course and services
The course is a 3.1-mile loop on a family-owned working cattle farm in middle Georgia, with free parking and space for crew set-up at the start/finish area. Most trail sections run through pastures on a five-foot path; there are about 1.2 miles of forest single-track with roots and rocks. Each loop gains approximately 220 feet of elevation across runnable hills and flat sections. Wildlife on course may include cows, deer, rabbits, armadillos, and turkeys.
The race is cupless; participants should bring a handheld bottle or hydration pack. Water refills are available near the start/finish area and mid-course. Race items include a long-sleeve shirt for all runners, awards for the first male and female finisher in each race, and a meal ticket for 15k and 50k entrants.
