Event Overview
The Snaketail 50 is a trail running event taking place in Summertown, Tennessee. Course Details
The course consists of loops run on trails. The main loop for the longer distances is approximately 13.1 miles. This loop features about 1,400-1,500 feet of elevation gain and includes 10 creek crossings. The terrain includes single and double track trails, rolling hills, and flat, runnable sections. A 6-mile loop is also used for shorter distances. Trail distances are noted as approximate. There is a 14-hour cutoff time for the 50-mile distance and a 9-hour cutoff for the marathon.
Event Location & Amenities
The start and finish location is The Farm Community Center at 100 Farm Rd, Summertown, TN. Free camping is available near the start/finish area, including options for car camping. The Farm also offers lodging accommodations. Packet pickup occurs at the Community Center.
Participants in all race distances receive a finisher medal. Those who register by March 31st are guaranteed a race shirt. The event has fully stocked aid stations. Pacers are permitted for 50-mile runners after mile 26. Dogs are not allowed at the event for any participants or spectators. All race entries are non-refundable.
