Snaketail 50 - Summertown, TN

Snaketail 50 is a trail running event held at The Farm Community Center, 100 Farm Rd, Summertown, Tennessee. The event offers multiple race distances on looped trail courses that run through woodlands, creek crossings, and ridgelines.

Distances include:

• 50 Miler
• Marathon
• Half Marathon
• 6 Miler
• 5k Run/Walk
• Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

Course information notes a 13.1 mile loop used for the longer distances and a 6 mile loop with one aid station and a water drop. Each loop has roughly 1,400 to 1,500 feet of elevation gain and about 10 creek crossings. The first 5 miles of the 13.1 mile loop alternate between single and double track; much of the course includes fast, non technical stretches alongside more rugged trail. Trail distances are approximate and may run a little long.

Logistics and rules: free camping is available near the start and finish area and car camping is permitted. Packet pickup takes place at The Farm Community Center prior to each race. The 50 mile cutoff is 14 hours and the marathon cutoff is 9 hours; 50 mile runners may use a pacer after mile 26. Dogs and other pets are not allowed.
