Slay the Dragon

Slay the Dragon is a trail running event held at Silver Star Mountain Resort, a short drive from the lakes of Vernon, British Columbia. The event includes several race distances and a separate kids race.

Course terrain mixes technical and cruisey single track with notable climbs and long descents. The route is marked and supported by fully stocked aid stations and first aid. Event volunteers staff the course and on-site services.

The kids 2.5 km race runs on the Cross Mountain Trail, is timed but focused on participation, and includes a medallion and goodie bag for finishers. Parent participation is suggested for young children.

Included items for adult entrants include a custom race day T-shirt (guaranteed only if registered by May 15, 2026), custom bib, swag bag, finisher prize, access to aid stations, music, expo, and massage.
