Slay the Dragon is a trail running event at Silver Star Mountain Resort near Vernon, BC. The event uses single track trails with technical sections, climbs and long descents. Race formats and specific notes
The Kids Race is a 2.5 km out-and-back on the Cross Mountain Trail for ages 0-12. The route has gentle ascents and descents, a marshal at the turnaround, timing, and completion prizes such as a medallion and a goodie bag. Parent participation is suggested for younger children.
The Dragon Vertical Climb is a 2 km ascent with about 480 m of vertical gain. The climb follows no marked trail and takes place on open slope. Participants are guided from the gondola area to the start area.
