The Event

Slay the Dragon is a trail running event held at Silver Star Mountain Resort, near Vernon, British Columbia. The course features technical and cruisey single-track trails across several distances.

Races and Distances

The main running distances are:

  • 52 km (50K)
  • 25 km
  • 13.6 km

Two additional events are offered:

  • Slay the Baby Dragon: A kids' fun run of approximately 2.5 km.
  • Dragon Vertical Climb: A timed 2 km climb with 480 meters of elevation gain, with no defined trail.

Included with Registration

Registration includes a custom race day t-shirt (if registered by May 15, 2026), a race bib, a swag bag, a finisher prize, and access to fully stocked aid stations. A meal (burger, salad) and a drink (beer, non-alcoholic beer, or pop) are provided. Extra meal tickets are available for purchase.
