Skinouk Trail

The Skinouk Trail event will take place on October 24, 2026 at Centre de ski Nakkertok Nordique (Nakkertok South, 900 Avenue Gatineau, Gatineau). The event is presented by Euro-Sports and organized by Club Skinouk.

The race was created to give regional cross country ski club athletes an opportunity to assess their preparedness before the ski season. Registration is open to everyone, including beginners and more experienced runners.

Courses are 100 percent trail and underbrush, featuring a mix of rolling sections and technical segments. Course maps published for 2025 are subject to change. GPX files and course maps are provided for several distances.

In collaboration with Chelsea Nordiq, a biathlon discovery race will be offered. The format is four repeats of a 400 meter loop with a laser rifle shooting session between each lap. The biathlon discovery race is open to all participants.

The Skinouk Trail is sanctioned as a trail event by the Fédération Québécoise d'Athlétisme. Club Skinouk will also organize a Big Wolf Backyard Ultra race on September 19, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
