Shadow of the Giants is a trail running event scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Camp Green Meadows Outdoor School in Fish Camp, CA, near Yosemite National Park. The event offers two distances:
- 50k
- 20k Fun Run
The course includes several aid stations spaced roughly 5 to 7 miles apart. Aid stations will provide energy gels, hydration, fruit, salty and sweet snacks, peanut butter and jelly, pickles, and basic first aid. Course maps will be posted online before the event. There is a course cutoff; 50k runners have an eight hour limit and may have additional time if they start early.
Event logistics center on the Camp Green Meadows campus. Early bib pickup is available the day before in the cafeteria, and race day bib pickup is at the same location. Lodging at the camp uses bunk-style sleeping; participants should bring bedding and respect shared-space rules. Tent camping is not allowed on the campus. Showers and restrooms are available onsite. Large or oversized vehicles should not be parked on the campus; nearby Forest Service Roads may be used for parking. Parking at the camp can be tight and drivers must avoid blocking roadways or private driveways. An alternative parking area is available off Jackson Road, about a half mile from the final single-track approach to the finish.
Pre-race dinner is provided only to those who preordered and includes lasagna, salad, bread, and drinks. Post-race food for runners will be served in the cafeteria and includes soups, rolls, snacks, and cold drinks. Awards include overall top three male and female for the 50k, age-group awards in 10-year divisions, and finisher medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
