The Shadow of the Giants is a trail running event in Fish Camp, California, held on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The race uses trails in the Sierra National Forest and starts and finishes at Camp Green Meadows Outdoor School, 7798 White Chief Mountain Rd, Fish Camp, CA 93623. This is the 36th annual running of the event. Aid stations are placed roughly every 5-7 miles and supply gels, electrolyte drinks, water, soda, fruit, salty and sweet snacks, PB&J, pickles, and basic first aid. The 50k has an 8-hour cutoff, with early starters allowed one additional hour. Early starters are not eligible for overall awards but may be eligible for age-group awards.

Bib pickup is available the day before and on race day at the Camp Green Meadows cafeteria. Overnight stays are offered at Camp Green Meadows dorms the night before; bunks are first-come, first-served and guests must bring bedding. Tent camping is not allowed on campus; showers and restrooms are available onsite. Parking at the camp is limited; additional parking is available on nearby roads and along Jackson Road near the finish. Pets and dogs are not allowed on the trail or campus except service animals. No pacers are allowed; trekking poles are permitted. Awards include overall top three male and female for the 50k and age-group awards in 10-year bands; all finishers receive a medal.
