The Seven Sisters 25k is a trail race in Montreat, North Carolina. The course distance is 25 kilometers (about 15 miles) with approximately 4,000 ft of elevation gain and about 95% trail surface. The route passes over multiple peaks and overlooks, including Lookout Rocks, Rocky Head, Graybeard, Rattlesnake Rocks, and the Seven Sisters along the West Ridge Trail. The race has a 5 hour time limit.

Aid stations are located at approximately mile 4 and mile 8 and include cutoffs. Prior trail running experience is required to participate.

Logistics and rules

Required gear must be carried at all times: a rain shell, at least a 20 oz water carrying device, a whistle, a cell phone, and an emergency blanket. Participants must stay on marked trails and not cut switchbacks. The event is cupless. Parking is not at the start; parking will be at designated sites nearby and the start/finish area is about a third of a mile walk from parked cars.

Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at Mountain Running Company in downtown Black Mountain and there is also race day pickup. Top three male and top three female finishers receive a handmade award; all finishers receive a finisher award. Refunds are allowed minus $20 up to 60 days before the event; no transfers or deferments are permitted.
