Event overview
The Seven Sisters 25k is a trail race in Montreat, North Carolina. The course circles the East and West ridges of the Montreat Wilderness and passes over multiple peaks and overlooks, including Lookout Rocks, Rocky Head, Graybeard, Rattlesnake Rocks, and the Seven Sisters along the West Ridge Trail. Prior trail running experience is required to participate.
Course and logistics

The course is roughly 95% trail with approximately 4,000 ft of elevation gain and a 5-hour time limit. Aid stations are located at about mile 4 and mile 8.
Runners must carry required gear at all times, including a rain shell, at least a 20 oz water carrying device, a whistle, a cell phone, and an emergency blanket. Parking is not allowed at the start; designated parking sites are nearby and the start/finish area is about a third of a mile walk from parked cars. The event is cupless. Packet pickup is available at Mountain Running Company in downtown Black Mountain and there is race day pickup. Refunds are allowed minus $20 up to 60 days before the event; no refunds, transfers, or deferments after that. Top three male and female finishers receive handmade awards; all finishers receive a finisher award. Race rules require staying on marked trails, not cutting switchbacks, using proper trail etiquette, and obeying race officials. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
