The race is held cupless and there is no parking at the start; parking is provided at designated sites nearby and the start/finish area is approximately a one third mile walk from parking.

Pre-race packet pickup is available in downtown Black Mountain and race day pickup is provided. Awards include handmade prizes for the top three male and female finishers and a finisher award for all finishers. Refunds are granted minus a $20 fee up to 60 days before the event; transfers or deferments are not allowed.
