The Semington Slog is scheduled for 16 May 2026 and starts and finishes at St Georges School in the village of Semington (BA14 6JP). Distances offered:

The 10K route runs through the village and onto the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath, then follows leafy lanes and bridle paths before returning to the village. The 2k route is a loop from the school around the village via the canal towpath. Markers and regular marshalls will denote and help manage the routes. The event is organised to raise funds for the school.

Logistics and facilities

Parking is available close to the venue, about a 5 minute walk, with limited parking on nearby side roads; marshalls will direct from the main road. Toilets and space to change are available in the school; there are no showers. Family activities include a bouncy castle and other children’s activities. Water will be provided at the start/finish area and near the 5K point on the course. Food and drinks for purchase include ice creams, cakes, refreshments and BBQ hot dogs. All finishers will receive a "Slog Dog". Results will be published at dbmax.co.uk.

Entry and prizes

Closing date: 15 May 2026. Entry fees vary by date and membership: 10K fees range from £14 to £20; 2k fees range from £7 to £9. A service fee of 4% applies to each sign-up (minimum 50p). Prize categories include first male and female overall, first male and female 40, first male and female Semington resident, and first male and female 2k.
