The Selkirk Slacker 12hr Ultra Trail Run & Relay takes place on May 23, 2026, in Golden, British Columbia (1501 Maple Drive). Event formats include a 12-hour ultra (solo and team relays), a 8-hour solo option, and multi-person relay teams. Registration opens November 1, 2025.

Course and logistics

The race uses a single 5.96 km trail loop with about 164 m ascent and 169 m descent per lap. Participants complete as many laps as they wish within their timed event. The Start/Finish and transition zone are at Keith King Memorial Park; the course passes through the transition area. Parking and washrooms are available on-site.

There are no aid stations on the loop; water, electrolytes and food are available at the Start/Finish area and runners are encouraged to be self-contained. Team crews and assistance are permitted only at the Start/Finish area. Laps are recorded at a lap table where runners check in and note times; volunteers assist with lap counting. Dogs are allowed in the festivities area on leash but are not permitted on course. The event is community-based and volunteer supported, includes an optional Swag Swap donation to Tree Canada, and will run in variable weather conditions.
