TransRockies GOLDEN ULTRA
The Golden Ultra is a multi-day trail running event held in and around the town of Golden, British Columbia, and at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. It is offered as a three-day stage race with two stage distances and as single-day races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Registration for the 2027 event opens on Wednesday, November 25, 2027 at 9:00am MST.
Distances offered include:
- 3 km "Climb" Friday - $99 CAD includes gondola pass ($35)
- 5 km "Blood" Friday - $99 CAD includes gondola pass ($35)
- 60 km "Sweat" Saturday - $199 CAD
- 30 km "Conquer" Saturday - $149 CAD
- 16 km "Tears" Sunday - $99 CAD
- 11 km "Cruise" Sunday - $99 CAD
Stage race options are the Full Pint and the Half Pint; Full Pint and Half Pint registration is listed at $399 CAD / $299 USD. An installment option requires a $199 CAD deposit at registration with the balance charged automatically on April 1, 2027. Pricing shown is inclusive of taxes and fees where noted.
Registrations include professionally mapped and marked courses on single track, double track, gravel and dirt; a soft blend T-shirt; a customized pint glass; sponsor giveaways; fully stocked aid stations; podium awards; Friday and Saturday evening meals for Full and Half Pint participants; professional medical coverage; and official timing by Zone 4. Drop bags are available for the 60 km and 30 km races at checkpoint 1 and checkpoint 4 only. The organizer states there are no refunds; transfers to Golden Ultra 2028 may be permitted at the organizer's discretion for a $50 admin fee. The organizer may cancel or change stages or routes for safety or environmental reasons; in that case entries will be transferred to the next available date.
