San Joaquin River Trail Half Marathon

Auberry, United States • 7 Mar 2026

Event Details

The event offers two trail running distances: the Half Marathon and the 10K. The race takes place at the San Joaquin River Gorge Special Recreation Management Area on Smalley Road in Auberry, California.

Course Information

The courses are described as having steep hills and rough terrain. The Half Marathon route features approximately 2500 feet of elevation gain. It is suggested that runners carry a handheld water bottle and their own nutrition.

Aid stations are provided. The 10K has one station around mile 4, offering water, GU gels, Skratch, and snacks. The Half Marathon has aid stations at miles 4, 6, 9.6, and 11.7. The course is marked with signs featuring directional arrows and orange ribbon.

Participant Information

All participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom event shirt. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in both distances. Awards are also given three deep in 10-year age groups for men and women.

Bib and shirt pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Fleet Feet Sports in Fresno, or on race morning in the start area. Parking is available near the start/finish in the Aholul Campground, with additional spots in lower and upper parking lots and along cleared dirt areas on the roadside. Carpooling is encouraged.
