The San Joaquin River Trail Half Marathon & 10K takes place on March 7, 2026 in Auberry, CA at the San Joaquin River Gorge Special Recreation Management Area (40060 Smalley Road). The event offers two distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10K

Both distances award top 3 overall male and female finishers and go three-deep in 10-year age groups. All finishers receive a finisher medal and participants receive a race shirt.

Course and logistics

The courses are primarily single-track trail in foothill terrain, with about 2500 feet of elevation gain and steep hills and rough surfaces. Aid stations are placed along the routes: the 10K has one aid station around mile 4; the half marathon has aid stations at mile 4, mile 6, mile 9.6, and mile 11.7. Aid stations will offer water, sports drink, gels, and snacks. Runners are encouraged to carry a handheld water bottle and preferred nutrition. There is a course cut-off of 5 hours.

Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Sports Fresno the day before the race and in the start area on race morning. Parking is available near the start/finish at Aholul Campground, in lower and upper lots, and in cleared roadside areas; carpooling is encouraged and volunteers will direct parking. Participants are asked not to park in the equestrian area. Post-race refreshments will be provided. No refunds or rollovers; no dogs allowed.
