Salisbury Plain Summer Edition
Salisbury Plain Summer Edition is a trail running event held at Old Fowler Barracks, Ludgershall (SP11 9RR) on 5 June 2027. Salisbury Plain is described as the largest military training area in the UK, and the course uses tracks across that area.
Distances included in the event:
- 50 km ultra
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The route includes steep hills and sections on solid iron roads. The course is fully marked and has marshals at major road crossings.
Support on the route includes well stocked aid stations offering sweet and savory snacks, water, juice and cola, and an experienced medical and safety team available if needed. Finishers receive medals, and prizes are awarded to first, second and third male and female finishers. Entry fees range from £40 to £60, with specific prices listed for the 50 km, marathon and half marathon. There will be no deferrals after four weeks from the event.
