Running With My Gnomies

Dover, United States • 9 May 2026

Distances

The event offers three distances.

  • 50K
  • 25K
  • 9-ish mile

Course

The course is a 25-kilometer loop, with the 50K race consisting of two loops. It takes place on the trails of Camp Tuscazoar in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The terrain is a combination of single-track trails, bridle trails, and a short section of gravel road. The organizers note it is not a flat course. The 9-ish mile distance follows the same initial route as the other races before breaking off to return to the finish.

On the Course

There are aid stations midway through the loop and at the start/finish area. The 50K runners will pass the start/finish aid station after their first loop.

Participants are encouraged to look for hidden gnomes along the course and can take photos with them.

For Participants

Packet pickup is available on Friday before the race at Camp Tuscazoar and on race morning at the start area. Every runner receives a race shirt. Finishers get a gnome-themed medal. Awards are given to overall male and female winners for each distance, as well as to first and second place in age group categories by decade.

For Spectators

Spectators can watch from the start/finish area or drive to a parking lot near mile 4 of the course to see runners pass by.

Accommodations

Camp Tuscazoar offers primitive camping, shelters, RV spaces, and bunkhouse cabins. Several local bed and breakfasts and hotels are also listed in the area.

Registration

Registration prices increase after March 14th. The event has a 10-hour cutoff time. Deferrals to the following year's race are allowed up to three weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
