Running of the Bulls Trail Race

Running of the Bulls Trail Race : Big Sky, MT

The 2nd Annual Running of the Bulls Trail Race takes place July 12, 2026 at the Big Sky Events Arena in Big Sky, Montana. The arena serves as the central hub for packet pickup, the start and finish lines, and post race activities including sponsor activations, food trucks, and the awards presentation. All routes traverse the Big Sky Community Organization trail system and run on dirt paths and single track.

Course options include:

• 15 Miles: arena to Ousel Falls, loop Spanish Peaks; private trails; about 2100 ft climbing.
• 6.2 Miles: starts in Town Center, loops Uplands and Hummocks single track; about 600 ft climbing.
• 3.1 Miles Relay: teams of three, consecutive legs on Uplands and Hummocks; each runner gains about 500 ft.

Views along the courses include Lone Peak, Pioneer Mountain, and Gallatin National Forest. Registration opens December 22, 2025 and closes May 1, 2026. Entry fees listed are $65 for the 15 mile course, $50 for the 6.2 mile course, and $25 per runner for the 3.1 mile relay ($75 per team).
