Run Off-the-Grid

Run Off-the-Grid takes place at 574 Snake Creek Road, Mattawan, ON, Canada on September 26, 2026. The course is entirely off-the-grid and 100 percent trail with no roads or pavement. It is built around a 12.5 km loop that includes single track, old forest logging roads, rolling hills, steep climbs, rocky technical sections, creek crossings, a mud bog and a gravel pit with a sandy dune descent. Consecutive loops are run in the opposite direction.

• 50 km four loops
• 50 km relay team of four runners

A hike option is available for the 12.5K and 25K distances. The event donates C$5 from each registration to the Mattawa Food Bank, collects used shoes for Soles4Souls in partnership with Bioped Footcare, and reinvests remaining proceeds into Nature’s Harmony Ecolodge.

A post-race meal is provided by gd2go catering with a choice of harvest chicken stew or curried lentil soup, served with buns, pasta salad and leafy greens; vegan and gluten free options are available. Participants are asked to bring their own dishes and cutlery. On-site accommodations include log cabins, yurts, geodesic domes and glamping, and camping is available with compost toilets, eco-showers, a hot sauna, group fire pits, swimming in the bay and a play area for children.
