Run Larapinta Stage Race is a four-day, four-stage trail running event along the Larapinta Trail in the MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. It offers two courses: the Malbunka long course with four daily stages of roughly 19.5 km, 41 km, 33 km and 34 km, and the Namatjira short course with stages of about 13.5 km, 20 km, 22 km and 27 km. Runners experience iconic Red Centre landscapes—from Alice Springs circuits to Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek and Ochre Pits—through rugged ranges and desert tracks. The race emphasizes camaraderie, full logistical support, and a capped field of around 200 to preserve the experience. 2025 dates: August 15–18.
